Uploading files

  Hello! I was wondering that is it possible to upload a complete website from localhost? I’ve been making a couple of websites in localhost and I can’t find a way to upload it to the wordpress servers under one of my blogs. I tried to make the website in your servers exactly like in my localhost, but I can’t even search for different themes and I couldn’t find the theme I wanted through the options provided.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there !

  You can import parts of your websites you have in local (Posts, Pages, Menus, etc) but you can’t upload a new theme, plugins or PHP modifications of existing themes.

  What did you want to upload ?

  I wanted to upload the stargazer theme that I downloaded when I made the website in localhost. I also wanted to upload some plugins that I used in my localhost website, but it seems like it’s not possible. I guess I have to use something else for webhosting. :)

  Yeah you can’t do that, you’ll need a self hosted WordPress install. You can see most of the differences here : http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
