Uploading files to wordpress blog help? PLEASE?

  I hope I can find some help with a beginner problem. I have started a small, personal blog for game footage to share with friends and fellow players. I’m hosting through godaddy. I’ve got the basics set up and am trying to do my first post. Problem is uploading the footage I want to show. the clip is 4gigs BUT I have used a Wp plugin to up the allowable files to twice that size so that isn’t the issue. I tried to just drag and drop the file into the media library of my site through the admin dashboard interface but it keep failing. SO I set up an FTP using filezilla. After many tries and back and forths with godaddy customer support (and I use that term loosely!) I got Filezilla to connect to my sites ftp account and FINALLY got the full file uploaded. BUT it doesn’t show in the media library! If I go into file manager on my hosting account I can see the clip existing and I’ve moved it to various folders that say things like upload and admin media but it never shows in the admin dashboard interface. I’m convinced that I have just uploaded to te wrong folder, but I have no idea WHAT folder I should be uploading TO! Godaddy people have misdirected me and they are SO difficult to get to and understand I thought I woudl try another avenue. I just need to know what folder do I FTP to so that the files will show in the media library so i can insert them in posts?

  Please contact GoDaddy for help. I see they are difficult for you to get help from them.
