uploading from ipad

I’m trying to upload pictures onto a student blog from several ipads (one belonging to each teacher) but only some of them would work. Some would not upload, they could see the pictures in the library and they would be inserted into the blog post, but would then have a grey shadow and a retry sign and wouldn’t show in the final post on the site.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • @stmarysblog695351525 if you’re still having trouble, could you link us to the affected posts or pages?

It sounds to me like maybe there was a connectivity issue. I’d recommend having one person try on their mobile network rather than the school network, if you can. But if that was not the issue, send more information and we’ll take a look. Thanks!

Hi, thanks for replying, this is the page with the posts on, https://stmarysblog695351525.wordpress.com you can see some of them have part uploaded and have some broken links, and some of them won’t upload at all.

I tried connecting one of the ipads to my phone network and it still could not upload pictures.

My iPad will upload (as admin), but the other contributors are not able to.

    This is the link.

I tried connecting an ipad to my mobile network but it could still not upload pictures.

It will work on my (admin) ipad but not the other contributors ones.

    Thank you for your help.

  • Howdy –

I’ve looked at https://stmarysblog695351525.wordpress.com/ and everything looks fine from my perspective. Could you take a screen shot of what you’re seeing when you try from the school iPad?

    Take a Screenshot

The screen shot can be added here with a third party link from somewhere like snag.gy or you can just upload it in to the site’s media library. We can see it from there.

Because I can see the site normally it makes me think that there’s something happening at your end.

What happens if you look at the site through mobile data connection or a non-school-related email connection? Does it work then?

    Hi, I figured it out.

It was because people were set up as contributors instead of authors. Apparently contributors can’t upload pictures, but authors can. Thank you for all your help.
