Uploading from MS Word

  When I try to upload a post written in MS Word it says WordPress doesn’t recognise my URL (which I have been using for the past 10 years). Can anyone help please? Thank you Linda

  Hi there,

  Because Word is a word processor designed to produce documents to be shared or printed it isn’t ideal for using it as a web publishing tool. For that, I suggest using the WordPress.com Post Editor to create content and formatting it on the fly. If you like to create your posts offline, you can try our WordPress.com desktop app:

  Desktop Apps

  If you do need to paste content from Microsoft Word, you can do so by selecting your content in your MS Word document and pasting it directly into the Visual Editor in WordPress.com. Not all formatting will carry over cleanly, so you may need to tweak some settings.
