Uploading image issue
-
I’m using my phone to upload an image, and it keeps saying that I have no memory to do so. But in clearly have like 6 GB open on my phone, and I also have it in a jpg file so I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

What is the address of your site, please?
Could you login to your dashboard, click on the Home link in the left hand side menu and see how much space is available to you. It looks something like this: https://cloudup.com/chf8SYleWFv

The memory on phone is not the problem here. Most likely you ran out of your storage space in your WordPress.com account.

Hi,
I noticed your comment about running out of storage space in the WordPress.com account. This has happened to me, my media library is full and it won’t let me delete any photos, is there anything I can do?
Thanks,
Hannah -
You should be able to delete unneeded files using the instructions in the https://en.support.wordpress.com/media/deleting-files/ support guide.
If you ran out of space or would like to upload other types of files, here are some alternatives:
– Use an external hosting service such as Flickr or YouTube, and embed remote images and videos.
– Upload to a dedicated file hosting or file sharing service.

@andrewjvoss853 – your account is 9 hours old, so I would wonder that the image upload issue you are encountering is due to a WPcom Media Library being full. :)
But first we need a link to the site you need help with.

@hannahbellasis – Deleting files from your site’s Media Library also deletes them from any post they are being used in.
So use that Delete Permanently button very carefully. There is no Trash folder for Media files so once deleted, gone forever. If you don’t have backups, there’s no way to recover the files.
it won’t let me delete any photos
Are you receiving an error message when you try to delete a file? If so, would you please share it here?
