Uploading Images (Security issue?)
-
Hi I’m new to WordPress and apologize if this is an old question but I didn’t see it listed. When I try to upload an image I get this message: File type does not meet security guidelines. Try another.
It’s a JPEG image. I’m on a Mac OS X. What am I doing wrong?
Thanks for your help!

The file must end in one of the following extensions (after the .) in order for it to be uploaded to WordPress.com:
jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf, doc, ppt

There are some issues with uploads today. They say to send a feedback from your dashboard with the specifics of the issues. Also, the JPEG has to be on your computer; it won’t upload from the web as far as I know.

Thank you, Barry and Raincoaster. I had edited the pic in Photo Studio, the software that came with the Canon camera and saved it as a jpeg image. When I used the original pic and not the one that had been edited through Photo Studio, I was able to upload it.
Thank you all for your help. And on a Friday night! You guys are great.
