I’m not able to reproduce the issue as described at the site listed.
Would you please use https://snipboard.io/ to share a screenshot here of the full browser when the error appears?

I have the same issue.
I am admin of my site and logged into the correct account. This is a WordPress.com free plan.
Here’s a screenshot of what I keep seeing: https://snipboard.io/4i3JHB.jpg

@unionsnhs, different issue can have the same error message, so it may not be that you are having the exact same issue. With this in mind, can you start a new topic here?
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/?new=1You can add a “modlook” tag if you’d like to get staff attention.
That way the people who have been working on this topic won’t get unwanted notifications as we troubleshoot your issue. Thanks!

@evii1975 Usually when an issue like this occurs due to an expired (or broken) login auth cookie stored on your local web browser. With this in mind I would like you clear your cache and cookies using the steps google recommends here: https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/32050
Also make sure you are not blocking any “3rd party cookies” as explained in that guide as well. If you do those two things, do you continue to have the permissions issue that you are seeing?
If you keep having those issues, what if you try a different browser like Firefox? Same issue? or is it only with Chrome? Thanks for the additional info!
