Uploading Media HTTP Error

  HTTP Error when uploading media. In this case photos. I have uploaded 8 photos from folder, and now does not upload any more that I select.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  so far i have used 8 mb and have 3 gb remaining, I have only recently started my blog.

  Exactly what kind of device are you using to connect to the internet and to WordPress.com?

  Exactly what kind of a file are you trying to upload?
  It is an accepted file type?

  I am using a laptop with Mozilla as my browser. I am trying to upload photos in jpeg. For some reason yesterday I attempted it again and it worked first time, didn’t have to resize, but now its doing the same again!

  How can one day it do everything perfect, then the next ‘NO, I ain’t doing that today’! Then work again, and then NO again.
  Think this may just be my computer, its a pretty old laptop and very up and down with performance. Thanks for your help people, I shall persistently continue with my incredibly annoying device.

  Hi there,

  Sorry for the frustration with those uploads! In most cases when you experience this sort of on-again, off-again behavior with uploading files, it’s because of connection issues somewhere between your computer and the WordPress.com servers. (In that case, you’re also more likely to run into errors while uploading larger files, so sometimes resizing images can help with that.)

  One way to try to reduce connection issues is to use a wired internet connection, instead of uploading over Wi-Fi. You can also try clearing your browser’s temporary internet files. We also have some tips for troubleshooting image uploads you might want to check out.

  Thanks for the assistance. I have compressed my photos to a smaller size and uploading has become much easier. Will have to get used to the on/off issues as I am on the road most of the time. Thanks again.
