uploading multiple photos

  Hi There!
  I use WordPress.com to share my travels with friends, and its simple &　great.
  However, at times, when I wanted to upload more than 5 photos into a post, its very time time consuming, where uploading each photos will involves 6 clicks.

  Can i suggest to add multiple image/photos uploading, instead of single file every operation? In addition, would be great if the “show” and “link to” options can also be once for every multiple upload, or ‘saved’ per previous settings, to avoid clicking them for each upload.

  these has been requested before but i don’t know if it’ll be implemented or considered anytime soon. you could send in your suggestion to staff for them to note.

  as an alternative, you could upload your photos to photo-hosting sites like flickr and photobucket, which supports multiple uploading, then link to it in your post.

  In fact , that’s what I’m doing now (putting photos in Picasa or Flickr and made links to them); but really wish that this would be implemented as it is another simplification to wordpress.
  I bet this simplification will generate more of hurray among wordpress fans! :)

  The fact that there is no “photo gallery” functionality for WordPress is something of a rude shock for me; I just assumed that it would be available. I’ll probably end up with a link to Flickr or something similar, but I am regretting using WordPress for this particular project.

  WordPress.com just gave us a ridiculous amount of space increase for free http://wordpress.com/blog/2008/01/21/three-gigabytes/

  wordpress should consider to give unlimited free space just as http://photoblog.com/

  You need more than 3 gigs? My COMPUTER doesn’t have that much storage.

  I just guess, if WP allow unlimited space, they will provide “multiple image upload” feature. And it also may give WP such a “famous name” – the unlimited free weblog.

  In my calculation (Pareto Law) only 10-20% members that will use this free unlimited service.

  btw, you just kidding rite? that yr computer’space is below 3 gigs

  Yes, multiple photo uploading would be a boost for me, I can’t believe they don’t have it….oh well, I guess I’ll have to link to Flickr! UGH!
