Uploading music on WordPress
-
I haven’t been very familiar with the technical part of WordPress and I don’t bother because I intend to write and only that while I have it. But it seems to me that these things are just as important if I want more readers visiting my page. I got one problem or a question. I can’t upload music with my free account can’t I? Clearly it’s impossible for me to distinguish what the real problem is. But I’d love to learn if someone can just enlighten me on this. When you do, please break it to me gently because I have been dying to do this for a week now and it seems tragic.

You can share audio on your WordPress.com blog in a variety of ways. Note that, if you wish to upload audio files from your own computer, you will need to purchase the Space Upgrade. Please refer to our documentation on which specific audio files types can be uploaded to WordPress.com with this upgrade. > See http://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/ and http://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/

But you can have music in your blog without the Space upgrade. Sign up with Fileden, upload mp3s there, copy their URLs, use them with the WP audio-player shortcode.

Thank you both for taking time to attend to my queries. It sure is a bit confusing at first but I have to get the hang of it. Thanks for all your information. You’ve both been very helpful. As for the upgrade, I don’t think I can purchase anything just yet so I will go ahead and try the free way. It’s going to take time though before I see a site that has all the songs I wish to share. Thanks again. Appreciate it a lot.

Right. I can upload the songs from my computer through fileden. My bad. Didn’t see that right away. I must still be sleepy or something.
