Uploading my WordPress.com blog to WordPress on my Webserver

  I bought a domain name and now have installed WordPress on my Lunarpages domain using the Fantastico set up. I exported my blog as an xml file and when I went to my new space to import the file, I get this error: The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini.

  I’m not sure what to do from here. Any help is grately appreciated.

  You need to inquire over at http://wordpress.ORG/support/ – and before posting there, search for the error you have gotten because that question has been answered there probably 10,000 times. For issues with your self-hosted blog, you need to go to .ORG. We support only .COM blogs here.

  Okay..I bought a domain and I want to still use my wordpress blog i just want to use it at that domain instead of .wordpress.com..i mapped my domain but now when i type my domain in it doesn’t go to my wordpress blog? I thought I did it right but i guess not..please help!!

  Please do not post unrelated comments into threads this way. On most blogging support forums it can take between 11 – 13 hours to get an initial response to a question that’s posted. We Volunteers on this peer support forum provide answers to the questions posed in less time than that but it’s important for those waiting for answers to practice some patience, okay? :)

  Okay, sorry. I was just really confused on why it wasn’t working and I wasn’t sure what the problem was so I just tried to ask the question on a forum that kind of sounded like my problem. But thanks for your help!

  It’s okay – we are cool and things are proceeding properly with your domain transition. So now get to work on creating an archive of content … lol :D
