Uploading New Media not working

When Uploading New Media the upload restarts multiple times, sometimes reaches crunching and then freezes. I have been having this issue for months. Sometimes the uploads happen without issue but often times I encounter the above issues and the media upload does not complete. I primarily use firefox but have tried other browsers chrome, ie with the same results. I have tried clearing cache and cookies but that does not seem to resolve. Any suggestions? Thanks.

The first thought is a connectivity issue. Are you able to try using a different computer?
Can you visit these three sites and let me know if all three load a normal looking WordPress blog?

Yes I have tried from different computers with similar results. Case in point, this morning I was able to upload files without any of the mentioned issues.The first two, luv and sat loaded similar or identical looking blogs but iad loaded a different blog. All were WordPress blogs.
Thanks for your help. Let me know if there is anything else we can do to troubleshoot. Is hard for me to troubleshoot this morning given that I am not having the issues.

Well, that’s good to hear you’re not having issues currently. We’ve had a few folks recently that they stopped seeing issues after resetting their router (turning it off, waiting a minute, turning it back on).
While I’m not sure, my working hypothesis is there is a corrupted DNS record—either your computer, or sounds like possibly, your router—which is causing an issue with the script that the media uploader uses.
Like you said, hard to troubleshoot when it is working!
Please let me know if it begins again.
