uploading pdf or word fiole

  in building a new site, I have promotion pieces and resumes already created in my computer as either pdf or word files. How do I upload those onto the website page that i AM BUILDING

  check out the instructions on uploading media when you have a moment.

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/add-media/

  once your docs are uploaded to your media library, you can link them to pages in your new site.

  Thank you for your quick and informative response. I follow3ed these steps and succeeded PARTWAY. The problem is that the document I uploaded appeared as an icon in the media file, but it did not and would not open into a document. What am I missing. I look forward to what you can share with me . Many thanks.

  hi Hal,

  you can’t view PDFs or MS Word docs from the media library. but, what you can do is link to them from your website using the URL so that they open in a browser or so that they can be downloaded for sharing purposes.

  Hello, Mark;
  i have designed and composed most of the pages for my site, and circumvented uploading a pdf file by re-typing it into a page. But now I am still at a loss as to how I string the pages together and get the site up onto the net. I have paid the fee, and received a note that WordPress is working on my site, but I have no information as to how, or how soon, I will be operational.. Can you give me an information. Many thanks.

  I’m not sure exactly what you are asking, but I’m pretty sure it is a new discussion. So, I think that this current thread (uploading PDF and Word file) can be closed.

  Can you create a new topic with a very specific question(s) so that it will save everyone more time and make people more inclined to help you? See these excellent guidelines to help you.
