I added 10 new photos to my site but the do not show in my gallery . What do I do?

As a first step, could you share the address of your website and let us know what you are using for your gallery? For example, are you using a gallery block?
If you added the photos to your media library, you would have add the photos to your gallery as an additional step.
When I reply to a support request that does not include a website address, I always like to add that this forum supports sites hosted with WordPress.com.
For sites not hosted on WordPress.com, you can find help at WordPress.org.

Hi thank you for getting back to me. I use rubywhittyart as the name of my website. I don’t know what a gallery block is. A friend set the sight up for me and showed me how to put my pictures on but that was a while ago and I have forgotten how to do it. I am not getting any younger and find remembering instructions a little difficult. Next time I will write them down. Ruby

Thanks for the info but I still don’t know how to do it. I don’t know anything about wordpress so don’t know where to start. I know I loaded 10 new pictures in ,one at a time but they just did not appear in the gallery and I don’t know why. I’m sorry to be such a dunce but all this tech is just beyond me.

Learning how to paint is a lot harder than learning how to update your WordPress site. You can do this. And probably a lot like learning to paint, patience and persistence serves you well in the beginning. (and beyond)

https://wordpress.com/support/media/If it doesn’t seem to work, we need all the details. If there is an error message, we need to know where you were in the process when the error message happens. We need to know what the error message says.
But it might work. Uploading to the media library doesn’t make the photo display anywhere else on the site. Making the photo visible on your gallery page will be another task to be done later.

I know your trying to help and I want to thank you. I already have my photos in the Media Library but its from there is what I want to know. I thought that once they were in the library they would also be in my Gallery. But they are not. I just do not know next.

Now that you confirmed the new photos are in the media library, the remaining tasks for updating include:
- finding and opening the page where you want the new photos to display
- completing the mechanical operations of adding photos to the page
- saving the work (clicking the update button)
Let’s move on to the specifics of the next task.
With the goal of displaying the new photos on the gallery page, the next step is to find the Gallery page and open it for editing.
Give it try using the directions at this link:
https://wordpress.com/support/pages/edit-pages-screen/When you open the Gallery page, you should see the photos that were added before. A day on the river should be first in the order of the images.
To exit the page without making changes, click the black W (WordPress graphic) near the upper left.
