Uploading photos a problem

  Can’t upload selected pictures. Says 5 uploaded of say 13 but then doesn’t show the uploaded 5!

  Are you using the classic dashboard (https://bestlittlebird.wordpress.com/wp-admin/upload.php) or the new interface (https://wordpress.com/media/)?
