uploading photos and content in new themed site

just purchased a theme website and the home page looks fine except I can’t fix the about me section…on the back end I see a photo that I uploaded but it’s not on my home site and when I uploaded a photo and content under one of my menus…the photos are overlapping and the content isn’t there…
