  Whenever i uload photos here, and i look at the site, the size of the photo is greatly reduced… how to upload a full sized image and get it back the same size in the site???
  please let me know.

  Hi @catrisphotography1,

  Your photos are being resized in order to fit into the width of your theme’s content column.

  There are a couple of different options if you want the photos to display larger:

  1. Your current theme, Karuna, can either have a one-column or two-column layout. Currently, you are using the two-column layout; if you are okay going without a sidebar/widgets, you can switch to the one-column layout and get a wider content column.

  2. You can switch to a different theme that has a wider content column.

  3. You can add a gallery. When users click on an image in the gallery, a full-size carousel will launch: https://en.support.wordpress.com/gallery/

  Thank you for your reply…

  But I am not talking about the resolution of the image, I am asking about size of the image. That means the clarity….

  I have uploaded an image of size 3mb.. But the resultant image in the site is around 300kb only….

  Is there any way to upload a full sized image of the same capacity…
  That means I need the same 3mb image on the site when I upload it….

  Please let me know…

  Hi @catrisphotography1,

  To clarify – what would be your goal in having a larger file size? If your goal is to have better image quality, your images already look clear (with sharp edges and good image quality) to me. Does image quality appear to have dropped on your end?

  WordPress compresses images when they are uploaded. This is actually desirable, because you have a limited amount of space in your Media Library, and because your theme can only display images of a certain size in the first place. If you are uploading images that are much larger than your theme/browser can display, you may be wasting storage space.
