Uploading plug-ins

    Hello. I am very new to WordPress and am very confused!

    First off- what is the difference between wordpress.com and wordpress.org?
    Second- How do I upload a plug in? WordPress.com says I cannot upload my own plug ins, but wordpress.org offers tons and tons of free plug ins that you can download. I’ve seen tutorials of people uploading their own plugins.
    I’ve download the s2member plugin and am trying to upload it to my site but cannot figure out how.
    Please help!

    1. Please refer to the following support page to see the difference between WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/


    2. Most of the popular plugins are included automatically within all the site hosted on WordPress.com. Other plugins can’t be added to WordPress.com regardless of the upgrade.

    If you want to get buttons on your site, then perhaps you may consider self-hosting WordPress.ORG.
