uploading postings from my blog to a memory stick
-
Hi
I’d like to transfer the postings I’ve done (about 80 of them) onto a memory stick. Am I able to do this and, if so, how and can I do it as a complete series in one go or would I have to do it one posting at a time? Will the photos I have loaded on to the posts also be migrated as well as the copy? Is there another way to easily transfer content from my blog to another platform?
ppThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

uploading to a memory stick so I can download the content to my daughter’s laptop. She has Down’s syndrome and accessing the blog ordinarily is too complex for her

Are you going to set up a local install of WordPress on her laptop? So it would look like a blog, but only be on her computer? Or are you just hoping to be able to download each post so it could be a file on the computer that could be opened?
Just trying to make sure we’re on the same page here because the options are somewhat limited depending on what you are trying to do.

I’m open minded to be honest. Whatever’s easiest to do and maintain as I will be adding posts (approx 4-5 per week). I suspect your option 2 is the preferred method

So, I would be inclined to encourage you to set up a local install of WordPress and then export the content from WordPress.com and import it to the local install. But if the issue is that your daughter is having trouble navigating the WordPress environment, then that might not really be any assistance. Since the look/operation of the site would largely be the same.
You could try printing/saving each post out as a pdf. Or you could look at an option like this: http://www.blogbooker.com/

Thanks but I’m not sure the question of whether I can upload to a memory stick has been answered. The local WordPress i stall isn’t raly appropriate. The site in question is a privately accessible one as it’s about my young grandson. If I migrate stuff to Blogbooker does this automatically make it public or will it remain unseen to the public?

I have not used blogbooker, so you would need to talk to their support team.
The short answer is, no there is no easy way to download to a thumbdrive. At least not in the way that you are probably thinking. You can export your site and place that export file on the thumbdrive. But by itself, that file isn’t useful. It is only useful if you import it again into another WordPress site.
