  If I want to upload a microsoft powerpoint file onto my wordpress blog, how do I do so?

  Or use Slideshare. Slideshare can be embedded on a WP.com blog.

  You can upload powerpoint files to your media library and then link to them in your posts or pages if you want people to download them. If you want them to be displayed in your blog, then as raincoaster said.

  To embed a PowerPoint file, you can also use Scribd – http://support.wordpress.com/scribd/

  For a standard/download text link, http://support.wordpress.com/uploading-documents/ explains the process.
