Uploading Problems *please help!*
-
Now that they removed the little ‘upload picture’ button, I’m having so much trouble uploading pictures! I know that you can click on the picture icon and upload a picture from there, but whenever I upload it, it keeps on uploading to the top on my post, aaaalllll the way to the top….Is there a way to upload it where I last clicked? Thanks in advance.

I second that and have another complaint: I tried for 15 minutes this morning using both the Flash Uploader and the Browser Uploader and as soon as I hit Insert Into Post I got a blank screen that stayed blank until I closed it and tried again. Love WordPress but this isn’t a step forward. Please bring back the Upload Picture button.

I am having the same problem since yesterday and it sures bothers. I can’t upload nothing.
-
Thanks, so that means I’m not alone =). So is there any way to upload pictures without them uploading all the way to the top of your post?

Thanks, so now I’m positive I’m not alone. I guess I’ll just wait it out untill they fix it.

I’m sorry for the problems with Insert into Post when the popup turns white. One of our developers is working to find what is causing the bug.

This bug is a total nightmare. I have to say, I have other blogs at blogger.com but thought I would try wordpress for this one and I can’t work like this. I have to try and link to an image (either from my own library or someone elses) 10 or 15 times, including quitting the browser and relogging in before it works and even then it sometimes doesn’t. This is amateur-hour…

The flash uploader freezes, so does the browser uploader. Clearing the browser cache (suggestion from one of the “programmers”) doesnt work either.
And now the other input threads on this problem has been removed, as far as I can see.
This won’t do. Get it fixed NOW, WP!

Btw the support actually answered my letter from earlier today, but the supporter was incompetent. I’m pretty angry, and has been for a couple of days now.
Is this supposed to help?
Hi,
You can insert images into your posts using the Add an Image button on the Add Media toolbar. After an image is inserted, you can edit it and make changes to the options by clicking on the image. This will bring up a small toolbar over the image. Click on the image button there and you will get a popup that has a lot more options to edit the image than our previous way of doing it.

annalyttiger,
I’m Nick. I just looked up your original support request and there was no mention of anything freezing.I’m sorry for the problems. We are working on them.

Since you are an actual staff member, can talk with the other staff members to bring back the ‘Add Image’ button that you used to have? If you can’t, can you atleast make the current button work properly? Like I said in my first post, when I upload an image it doesn’t upload where I want it to, it uploads all the way to the top.

I’m using Windows Vista Home Edition and I’m using the latest Internet Explorer (9 or 10, I forgot, I’ll check right now)
-
@mtdewvirus: Answer please? I mean if this problem doesn’t get resolved I’m probably going to leave this blog website and go to another…..
-
You didn’t respond back with your version of IE. The latest version is IE7 and 8 is in beta. Which version are you using?
-
-
I’ve been able to reproduce the problem in IE7 on WordPress.com as well as the self-hosted version of WordPress, so I’ve put in a bug ticket.

Please can we have the little upload picture tree back?
I can’t upload anything. The screen goes black no matter if I try to upload from my computer or simply copy a link to the photo.
I have always used the little icon as the new setting has never worked for me. I’m on dial up with a lousy connection and a prehistoric computer.
“You can insert images into your posts using the Add an Image button on the Add Media toolbar. After an image is inserted, you can edit it and make changes to the options by clicking on the image…”
This does not help me as no image is actually inserted. Ever.
