Uploading Scans of Public Domain Book to WordPress

  Hi there,

  I’ve been searching the web about this, but haven’t turned up much. If a book is in the public domain, am I allowed to scan its pages and upload them to a webpage on my WordPress site? I’ve also seen there is an option to embed eBooks. Is either of these options more preferable than the other?

  If it’s already public domain, embedding the e-book could likely be a lot easier on you if it’s already been archived:
  https://wordpress.com/support/embedding-ebooks/

  Also from a user experience, e-books are likely easier to read than images of pages. Plus it wouldn’t take away from the space on your site.
