  Hi!
  I purchased a theme from themeforest, and was wondering if I could upload the theme onto wordpress and edit it on wordpress? If so, how?

  You could use that themeforest theme on a self hosted WordPress site. With WordPress.com (here) you will pick a theme from our Theme Showcase.
