  Hi there, my account wont let me upload a theme – I have purchased hosting through siteground but wordpress keeps telling me I need a business account can you let me know whats going on ?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there, only sites with the WordPress.com Business Plan are able to upload custom themes: https://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/

  Other sites can select themes from the WordPress.com theme directory: https://wordpress.com/themes/

  If you let us know what kind of theme you’re looking for, we may be able to give some suggestions, but it’s probably best to address the situation with Siteground to clarify this.

  Siteground and WordPress.com are two different companies, so that won’t make a difference to your time on WordPress.com. With Siteground, you’re probably intending to use the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com: https://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  With that, you can upload custom themes, but if you need help setting that up, it’s probably best to contact the folks over at Siteground.
