How do I upload a theme?

You can’t upload themes to a WP.Com blog you have to use the free themes that are provided. Dashboard>Appearance>Themes

There is no upgrade you can purchse that changes that and our reality is that there is no FTP access to our free hosted WordPress.com blog, and cannot install any third party themes. However, you can hire a web host and set up your own wordpress.org install and do as you wish on it. See:

Why on earth did you post that code here? Please always read what’s in threads vefore you post into them.
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs and we cannot upload third-party themes or edit templates or themes. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.

You can post all the code you want and it doesn’t change the answer. The thing about reality is, it doesn’t change no matter what your word count in the forum.

I downloaded a free trial version of the premium theme Traction, which is now in a zipped folder. I can’t find the option to upload this, what am I missing? Most straight-forward option would be great.
