Uploading Travelpod blog to WordPress

I have been trying to import my Travelpod blog into WordPress. I have followed the instructions provided by Travelpod and downloaded the zipped files to my computer. Tried to drag individual files but that did not work. If I clicked to upload -all the files would try to upload and that created an error as the overall upload was too large. I was not able to select separate files to upload.
    Any suggestions

  • Hi there,

Did you make sure to first extract the .zip folder? In file explorer, right click the .zip folder and select Extract All. You need to import the individual .xml files in the folder, but they must be extracted first. If you just open the .zip folder and try to import them from there it won’t work.

I was able to upload a file, however, my blog included pictures which were not uploaded.

Images aren’t automatically inserted into posts alas. They have to be placed into the WordPress.com Media Library and then one-by-one re-inserted into the appropriate posts.
Have you carefully read the Travelpod instructions: http://www.travelpod.com/blog/2017/05/15/wordpress-import-intructions/

For technical reasons, we are not able to import images to your WordPress blog from the XML file in the archive. You will need to insert them in your WordPress blog from the Images folder that is part of the archive.

There are many ways to do this, but the fastest way to get started is to upload all of the photos at once to your WordPress Media Library. Go to your blog and click on Media in the left hand column.
