  HI, sorry if this is a newbie question. I just purchased a space upgrade and can’t upload any videos. I was to link to this URl or I also have the source code

  That is embed code, it is not the actual video. That code is used to display and play a video which is NOT uploaded to your blog from within your blog (in this case, the video is physically located at brightcove). The space upgrade does not allow the use of embed code. The space upgrade allows you to actually upload video files (wav, avi, mp4, mpg, mov, and wmv) to your space, and then play that video using the wordpress video player.
