uploading videos

  Hello

  What is the best way to upload quite large video files? I have several blogs, and notice you offer videopress, but not sure what the maximum size of the file uploads is.

  Hi Cath,

  Generally, we’ve been able to upload video files as large as 1 GB successfully, and sometimes even as large as 1.4 GB. (Your experience may vary depending on the reliability of your internet connection.) If you have very large files, I’d recommend using a computer with a wired internet connection, instead of using wifi, to get the best results.

  Tanks – they are not 1GB huge!! lol

  The whole set I want to up load comes to 2.44GB, but they are indicidual files, which are much smaller….

  Would I need to upgrade to videopress for that…?

  thanks for your help – i’m really not technical, so I do ask!

  Hi Cath,

  Yes, to upload videos directly to a blog, that blog will need the VideoPress upgrade. You can purchase that upgrade from the Store page in the blog’s dashboard.

  If you’d rather not buy an upgrade, you can also embed videos from other services (like YouTube): Videos
