Uploading website demo from Web designer to Word Press

    Hello,
I had my website created by a web designer company and they are ready to give me the final product. How can I upload or link it to my Word Press site?

Also, I presently have Go Daddy and am looking to transfer over to Word Press. Can you confirm if I connected my domain (vedic-how.com) correctly? For some reason I couldn’t transfer it over. Any additional steps I need to take or is it easier to link Word Press to my Go Daddy account?

Next, the domain. vedic-how.com is not connected to our hosting here. It is registered at GoDaddy and hosted there as well. You’ll want to pick out a hosting plan that fits the project. Of course, we can help you with this too. Just write back to tell us more about your project, goals, and functionality needed on the site. All of our hosting plans can be seen on https://wordpress.com/pricing/

Once you’ve added a plan you can get the domain connected.

Question – will I be able to add a shopping page myself once I import the file from my developer?

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi there!

Yes. You will need to upgrade to a WordPress.com plan to access certain features — like the ability to add e-commerce features, but you can definitely add them to your site.

May I know what kind of shopping features you’d like to add? Do you want a fully-featured e-commerce site where customers can add different items to their cart and go through a checkout page? Or do you want to only collect items for a few products/services you’d be selling through your site?

We can share specific suggestions once you let us know more about your site goals.

    Thanks!
