WordPress.com doesn’t allow FTP access like you’re talking about. Fortunately, it’s pretty easy to take the content from the WordPress site on your computer and put it on a WordPress.com site.

Let’s get the content from your computer’s WordPress site saved first. Log into the WordPress site on your machine and find the “Export” menu under tools. Select what you want to export and it’ll have you save a file. Save it somewhere you can find it: we’ll need it in just a few minutes. Here’s a screenshot of where to find the export menu: http://imgur.com/GLGwl5O

Now go to your dashboard here on WordPress.com. The easiest way to get there is to hover your mouse over your username at the top-right side of any page on WordPress.com, hover over your blog name, and click on Dashboard. Then, under Tools, select Import. (Screenshot: http://imgur.com/bGJwRpD) Select the WordPress option, and it’ll have you select the file you downloaded before. Upload that, follow the instructions, and all your stuff will now be on WordPress.com!
