Uplouding videos
-
I’ve just upgraded, much because I then could upload videos. Not from YouTube, but my own videos. Among others MP4. MP4 have been working for hours, but a video with extension .AVI uplouded quickly. What can I do, and what can’t I do? It’s important for my upgrading.

Hi there,
I can see by visiting your media library (Library>Media) that both files have uploaded as they should.
MP4 have been working for hours, but a video with extension .AVI uploaded quickly.
This is because the files are different sizes. If you click on the edit link that appears when you hover over the title of each file in the media library, you can click on the “edit” link to view the details about that media upload. In this case, when I look at the details for each file, the MP4 is 268 MB, whereas the .AVI file is only 43 MB.
That would definitely explain the difference in upload time, and by adjusting the export settings in your computer’s movie software (before you upload) you may be able to reduce the size of your .MP4 files by quite a lot.
Hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
