  If you wish, You can follow the steps here to permanently close your account, which will delete all sites under that account as well as remove your personal data from our service: https://wordpress.com/me/account/close

  Do you get an error message of some kind if you try to follow the steps on that page? From what I can see, there should be nothing blocking your ability to close this account. If you have trouble please let us know the error message you are seeing on that page so we can take a closer look. Thanks!
