  I want to use my domain name freely with another hosting service and I want to add a fresh install of wordpress (using my own hosting provider). However I can’t get rid of this really annoying page, because when I try to install a fresh wordpress, it doesn’t allow me to do so, because it says that the wordpress is already installed on this domain! I NEED HELP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! my domain name is: laklaw.ca

  Sorry you are having troubles

  I believe the Hostgator support folks are in a much better position to help you than the WordPress.Com forums. Your site is hosted at Hostgator, not here at WordPress.Com.

  Explain to them what you told us here and they should be able to set you up!

  Hi there,

  Of which page can’t you get rid? If it’s a message that there is no mapping upgrade for your domain, the problem is that your browser is still trying to connect to WordPress.com when you enter your domain instead of to your new hosting at Hostgator. If you clear your browser cache that message should go away.
