Thank you. So basically i’ve a website that was previously hosted with WordPress and then about 10 months ago I changed just the host provider. Now since then I can’t get the same traffic as I used to get also the same website is alive with .wordpress.com and usually, people go on that one instead of actual site. The site is http://www.shehryarkhawar.com and the same is present with http://www.shehryarkhawar.wordpress.com which I don’t understand.

Hi @hejab29, what would you like to do?
You can move the site back here if you’d like.
You’d also be welcome to forward traffic from the old site to the new one:
https://wordpress.com/domains/add/site-redirect/You could delete the old site, instead, but you’d lose that traffic.
What do you have in mind?

hey, thank you for your assistance. I would like the traffic to be redirected to my new site. How to achieve that?
-
You can do that with the Site Redirect upgrade: https://wordpress.com/support/site-redirect/

Alright, i’ll look into site redirect upgrade. Will this cover everything then? My new site is already up and live so will I need to change something in that as well? like the permalinks etc?

I mean my domain is same, i just changed the hosting so there’s no new domain name. Its just I want to redirect the traffic of http://www.shehryarkhawar.wordpresss.com to my main domain http://www.shehryarkhawar.com

Okay. That process is called a site redirect. You can read about it here:
This is the process when the second site, the one receiving the traffic isn’t on our hosting service. When that second site is on our hosting service the redirect would happen automatically.
