Urgent – can you change the footer?
-
Hi there,
I can’t seem to change the footer – I would like to get rid of the “Customized…theme” text, Could you help me?
I tried to do a research and some said that I can go to Appearance – Editor menu but I can’t even see the menu. I have purchased the “Customize CSS” but I can’t find any css texts too…
Please let me know. The website is wylliea.co.nz
Kind regards, Katie

WordPress doesn’t allow you to remove that text.
May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide or alter text or links for the footer credits or the toolbar. Modifying the style of the footer text (i.e. colors and font size) is fine as long as it’s still readable.support.wordpress.com/custom-design/#frequently-asked-questions

Whether or not it is noticed by many people is not relevant to the agreement we wp.com users made when we signed up here. The hosting is free! We did agree to the terms! And most importantly, the theme designer should be fairly credited.
Note also that those links at the bottom are useful for volunteers who often need a quick link to details about the theme in order to be of assistance when a user has a question.
On the other hand, auxclass, I agree with you:
Only geeks like us, and possibly people who like the theme, will be interested, or will even notice. As a humble artist, writer, creator, I believe it’s important to have and to give credit when it is due.
