Hi there! I never got the e-mail for paying my DOMAIN and now I realized my site is down. It was supposed to be renewed in June. I was convinced it was an automatic thing so I didn’t worry about it and now my site is down!! Please help!!

We can still try to recover the domain but you will need to pay an $80 redemption fee in addition to the regular $18 domain renewal cost. If you agree, I can send a payment request and contact our domain registrar once it has been paid.
I was convinced it was an automatic thing so I didn’t worry about it and now my site is down!!
It looks like you had cancelled the billing agreement in your PayPal dashboard prior to the renewal attempt, so that’s why it was not renewed automatically. You’ll want to set that back up once we recover the domain so this won’t happen next year.

Since you’re already logged into your WordPress.com account, you can update the email address on your security page:

Let us know once that’s been updated (you’ll receive a confirmation link at your current email address) and we can start this process.

To clarify: “your current email address” is the one you would be changing to, so the confirmation would go to (email visible only to moderators and staff) once you request the update.
