Hi there,
Are you working on https://rosetinted20.wordpress.com/?
1) Id like to move my social media icons and reconnect them as the youtube thats linked is not mine
You can edit the social media icons in your sidebar at My Site ->Design ->Customize ->Widgets ->Sidebar ->Social Media Icons. You’re still using the old version of that widget, so you’ll need to delete it completely and replace it with the new Social Icons widget.
There’s no connection involved with those – to have a particular icon appear you just paste in the link for your profile on that particular service.

2) i want to know if upgrading allows me to fully customize every aspect of my own web/blog as you have lovely themes but custiomization seems to be limited
The premium plan allows you to use custom CSS to change the appearance of your theme only. In other words, you can change how something that’s already on the screen looks, but you cannot add anything that isn’t on the screen already.
There is also a limit to what we’re able to help with – we can help you with the code for small changes like changing colors of elements, but if you want to move stuff around on the page you’ll need to hire someone to do that for you.

3) Is their a way to arrange my images more flexibly (like a microsoft word ‘tight’ mode i cant seem to place my images where i want them just where the wordpress system wants it to be
Websites use HTML code, so you’re restricted by what HTML can do, and won’t be able to do things exactly as you can in a word processor that uses Rich Text instead.
But if you mean you want your text to wrap around your images, you do that by adding an image block first, followed by a paragraph block containing your text. Resize the image to the size you want it, and set its alignment to left or right, and the text of the following paragraph should wrap around the image automatically.
4) is there a way to get words like widget etc put in to simple terms because my google search of strange words is looking a bit odd
I don’t understand what you mean here. Are you asking if there’s an alternative term for “widget”? If so, not that I know of.
But also, the best place to search for information on WordPress.com features is in our support pages at https://wordpress.com/support/. Any results you get via Google are likely going to be for the open source version of WordPress instead, and won’t be of much help to you for a WordPress.com site.
5) Is their a way to view what featured images look like before i get anothr zoomed in shot of my under eye bags
I’m not sure what you mean here. Can you please elaborate?
6) is there a way to test out one of your upgraded plans before committing? for me it is a lot of money if i end up being just as frustrated as i am with your free plan :)
We offer a full refund on all our paid plans if you cancel within 30 days (unless you register a custom domain, in which case the domain cost is only refundable for 96 hours), and we do not offer free trails on our paid plans.
