urgent: how do I disable posts from other pages showing up on my blog page

    hey folks.

    I’m designing this WordPress site hosted for a class at my university.

    The website was already created by a previous student years ago so I am building up on that. I was just asked to create a blog page for guest contributors to login and post their work. And also changed the homepage display settings to static with posts page being the blog.

    Yet, the result is all the posts made on the website until present are getting shown on my blog page too which is what I don’t want. I have been having a go at this for two days now and can’t find a solution to this. I just want to know what am I doing wrong?

    For your other site using the wordpress software support comes by registering an account at
    https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
    https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
    PS: Posts go to the blog page. Perhaps use category pages and a menu and give the site the appearance that different posts only show on different pages.

    The WordPress blog I am working on is multisite and absolute control belongs to the uni I attend to. I only have total access to the website I am working on however I can’t post queries on forums. It is a WordPress.com site. I would appreciate if I can get assistance here.

    You suggested to use category pages and a menu and give the site the appearance that different posts only show on different pages. — That is pretty much the case. There is no overlap amongst the previously created pages. It’s only happening on this blog page.

    And 2) all the posts on the website have been assigned categories so far including a new post and category I created aptly titled blog so I am not sure what else to do. — the blog is listed as a page in the menus screen although other pages are set as categories. I am not sure what to make of all this, quite overwheling.
