Urgent – I Deleted My Entire Site :(

    I had a guy build my wordpress site for me but after I paid him he basically stopped all contact and I’ve been basically left on my own to try and maintain it. I am not a techie at all and I was making changes to the site all day today as I have big meeting tomorrow. My site was http://medistori.com/medistori and I was wondering why it had medistori twice in the address and so I saw in the admin section a place that looked like I could change this. I changed it and now I have DELETED my whole website by accident and I can’t access WordPress at all – it is showing error 404. I am in tears here as I need my site up for tomorrow for a business meeting & now none of it is there anymore. I am completely gutted. Can anyone help me fix this? I am not techie at all…sorry :(

    We don’t provide support for any blogs other than those hosted by WordPress.COM and that site is not one of them.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

    You have probably made a common error – but you need to get help from WordPress.ORG folks

    On the good side I would bet a couple of donuts that your content is safe – it’s just that you can’t get to it – so relax a bit until you get some tech help

    Okay, thanks. I don’t know what any of that means (not tech at all!!!!) but I’ll go to that other site wordpress.org. So stressed out :(
