URGENT: I want to renew my free subscription

When I login to view my site I get a message asking me to renew my subscription. When I click I see that I have a free subscription ‘for life’ but no button to click to renew – just other buttons to click that offer paying renewals! How can I simply get my bog back on the air and continue my free account? Many thanks – this is URGENT, please. Best. Tom

You don’t need to renew your free subscription, but you do need to renew the registration on councilcommunity.com if you wish to continue using it. Your domain is currently in the “grace period”: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/

In addition to what @micawbr said, make sure you are logged in with the username account that owns the site or purchased the domain name upgrade.
Barring that, you should be able to buy/renew the domain name using the gift upgrade button that is available from the expired domain overlay on the front page of your site. See here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/gift-upgrades/
