URGENT My Domain expired and I can't renew

    I got an email from WordPress apologizing that they forgot to alert me that my domain was expiring – but that email was sent after it had expired in January. Now I am trying to renew it and was told I had to email Support. I have sent two emails to date, the first was five days ago and I have had no replies. Can I please get some assistance to fix this? Thank you.

    Yikes! That sounds awful.

    What did the original message say, the one you got when you attempted to renew it?

    The blog linked to your name resolves to http://paralleldivergence.com/, so presumably that’s not the one you’re talking about?

    Don’t re-email support; it’s always fastest to contact them from your Dashboard. But every time you reply to one of their emails, you go to the end of the line, since they take things from oldest to newest. Instead of hitting Reply, create a new email and reference the Ticket number from the last one. That way at least your original one stays high priority.

    Hi raincoaster. Here is the initial email I got, but I could not renew from the link they gave. I got acknowledgements of my two emails, saying they’d respond “soon” but nothing for days now.:

    Dear User,

    We just noticed that you may not have received our notifications about your domain name ‘studentresponsenetwork.com’ expiring on January 13th, 2012.

    This was due to a technical glitch on our end that has now been fixed, please accept our apologies about that.

    You can still renew your domain name from this page:

    http://studentresponsenetwork.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

    Should you experience any trouble during the renewal process, please get in touch with us by replying to this email.

    Thanks. I didn’t gt a link to renew. I just have a link to contact Support for assistance, but so far I haven’t had any apart from yours.

    I did that twice before and got no reply. I did get a response from Andrew, a Hapiness Engineer at WordPress who renewed my domain for me and requested the normal payment transferred via PayPal which I have now done. Thanks raincoaster for the nudge. :)
