URGENT: Need help with adding text box (Chronicle premium theme)

  • Unknown's avatar

I need a 4 column theme with a featured images header and am deciding to go forth with selecting the theme “chronicle”. However, in the home page where post images are featured largely, I need there to be a text box as well that allows my audience to read a general idea of the post and then click a read more button if they wish. The text box needs to change with every different picture. Can someone please tell me an HTML code I can use in order to do this? Or a plug-in I can use or anything really. It would be greatly appreciated.

  • Hi there,

The Chronicle theme doesn’t offer this feature, but if you’re open to a 3 column theme, you might check out Booklet:

On the demo, the posts are in two columns, but there is a setting in the customizer to change that to three. It already includes a box with a read more option.

If you’d prefer to use Chronicle, we can look into something using CSS, however it won’t have a clickable button because that can’t be added through CSS. The text would all be formatted in the same way, so it couldn’t have variation like bolding some words but not others.

If you’d like help with Chronicle, please activate it on your site, and share a few more details about where you’d like the text area to be positioned.
