URGENT: Please recall e-mail: By accident published illegal information

  I accidentally published a blogpost I wanted to delete, because it contained confidential information that I am not allowed to publish. It now has gone to the people who subscribed to my blog. I want this message to be recalled, because in this e-mail they can still read what I did not want to publish, even though I now deleted the post from my blog. Is there a possibility to recall the notification emails to subscribers?

  That’s not possible. Once the email is on your followers’ mail servers WordPress.com no longer has access to it.

  I’ll tag this for staff just in case, but you shouldn’t hold your breath.

  Hi there,

  As kokkieh mentioned, it isn’t possible to recall email messages. Once they are delivered to your subscribers, there isn’t a way for us to remove or delete them as we no longer have access to them.

  I’m sorry I don’t have better news for you, but please let me know if there’s anything more I can do.
