URGENT – Please update our MX records so our emails will work again

Hi there, I would like to share the following email I got from netregistry to support my email address linked to themedispa.com.au.
Would someone please be able to update this for me as we are currently unable to receive or send any emails.

p.s. I did try to attempt this myself but don’t think I was able to do anything successfully. If you could please fix it up it would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

I don’t think they gave you enough info – you also need a record to match up with your registrar – Please go back and ask for more information – you probably need an A Record to help –
The format you tried is not correct for here – different hosts have different formatting for the same information
This is more in line with a MX record based on what made my email work – but this is not all the information required to make your email work
MX 10 mail.themedispa.com.au.
I will also flag this for the staff to help but they will need more information I think to help you

Hi I have just spoken to Net Registry and they said the following two lines are definitely all that is needed to have the emails redirected.
I ended up attempting to do it myself and I wrote this:
MX 10 mx.netregistry.net
MX 20 mx4.netregistry.netIt accepted this and I spoke again to Net Registry who confirmed that they could see that some changes had been made and hopefully my emails would begin working again in a few hours.
I’m still not 100% sure if I did it correctly – will only be sure once our work emails begin sending and receiving again. If someone could please double check to see if I made any errors it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Could staff member please check that I have done this correctly as our company closes in two hours and we would hate to miss another days worth of emails overnight…
We are really hoping to have this resolved by tomorrow morning at the latest thanks

Sorry don’t mean to be annoying but at the moment it seems emails can be sent but when I left the office three hours ago there were no incoming emails as yet. We unfortunately cannot afford to lose another day of emails so if someone could please double
Check this problem for me it would be much appreciated. I just want to make sure that those mx lines were entered correctly and whether everything seems to be fine from your end. Thanks -
Name-server changes take up to 72 hours to propagate across the internet, though most locations in first world countries will have updated in a couple of hours. I imagine you will be getting emails again by the time you are back in the office.
There is a flag for staff attention on this thread already. Please let them know if it starts working – they will help you otherwise

Thanks all I need is for a staff member to check and see whether I did input the mx lines correctly. We open again in two hours and am praying it is all working correctly by then
-
Just confirming that no messages are coming through as yet. I’m really starting to panic as our business desperately depends on bookings which come via emails. Could a staff member please please check this out for me? I just need to know if I incorrectly entered the mx lines. Thanks
-
Just a note – you were at the front of the line for staff help – they work generally from oldest to newest by when the last post in a thread occurs – so when you post again in the thread in panic – your thread then becomes the newest thread
Please be patient – and yes I know it is hard to do when your communication system is down
As a stop gap sort of not exactly fix – put a Post at the top of your site with the note that your are having email problems – then put a Contact Form on the Post and set the email in the form to an email that works – that would get a bit of communications working while you wait for the staff to work through the backlog

The MX records are correctly set. You might want to check with your e-mail provider to see if the e-mails are redirecting correctly.
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!
