** URGENT: WANT TO CANCEL DOMAIN & PREMIUM UPGRADE **

    Hello,

    I am on a 14 day trial and want to cancel my account & domain immediatelly. I have tried to email WordPress support but finding the right email address is proving an impossible task. Can you please provide me with the right email address to request the cancellation?

  • Hi there. Have you tried cancelling your free trial by going to Store ->My upgrades in the dashboard?

    As far as I understrand you can only cancel through there for the initial 48 hrs, after that period you need to send a cancellation request.

  • The 48 hours rule only applies if you’ve registered a custom domain. Regular upgrades can be cancelled within 30 days and as you’re still in the free trial period you should also be able to cancel it yourself.

    Go to Store ->My Upgrades and check if you can cancel it there. If you don’t see the option, or it won’t let you cancel, let us know.

    OK, thanks – I have just clicked on the Cancel option there, added a reason and am waiting for the email to complete/confirm cancellation. I’ll let you know in case I do not get anything, Many thanks.

    And the staff I think said they would eat the domain registration fee on the 14 day trial if a person really wanted to cancel the custom domain name – but they are betting that once someone sees the short classy domain name that they will keep the registration & domain mapping even if they cancel the larger package

    If the email doesn’t come through, let us know. Also be sure to check your spam filter and the Social tab if you’re using Gmail.

    @kokkieh – you and the OP be welcome – that was a question I had when the 14 day trial came out, what about the internet 48 hour domain name rule

    Yes, it was indeed in the Social tab and I managed to action that now. Believe the upgrade plan is now cancelled. Can I please confirm if my account still exists as a free account and I can upgrade it again at any time? Suspect this is what happens? Or would the account/domain be cancelled for good? I am happy with WordPress and am hopping to try an upgraded version as soon as I’m ready for it.

    You can upgrade any time – they really want to take your money and have changed some policies to cable TV bundle pricing (the individual upgrades used to be available, No Ads, space upgrade, CSS etc) – now the only single upgrade is domain name registration & mapping
