Raincoaster, you’ll just have to visit that link above pretty please and scroll down and see where I posted the link on my actual blog post–then pop it in some blog out there in un-wordpress world where I don’t live—and see if it links. Cause I’ve tried it on an old blogger blog and it works. Now it’s not pretty, but it works. http://coppertopcottage.blogspot.com/ So I do not know what else to do other than leap tall buildings in a single bound and I have lost my cape. Posting a code here seems to be beyond my ability. I google back ticks and looked at the back tick in parenthesis below and it appears like a ‘ to me. I’m not YELLING at you–I’m just dang tired of dealing with this cute little smart faced piece of code. And I wish it would take a flying leap.
-
You can just copy the backtick from the line of text below the Leave a Reply box. I can’t help you unless I can see the code, and I’m not going to go gallivanting around the web looking for where you posted it soemwhere else.
-
I do want to know the difference in a back tick and an apostrophe. So where is it on the keyboard? Pretty please?

Thank you. That links to http://flowergardengirl.wordpress.com/2009/10/22/garden-bloggers-operation-christmas-child/
Is that where it’s supposed to link to?
And the image is
The code looks fine to me. That will work anywhere.

Now, if you want to post that code in your blog, use the Code tag, as described here:
-
Ok, so for my readers to use it on their blog it needs to be wrapped in something? You probably want to strangle me don’t you?
-
-
I like the part where it says…using one of these is required. So someone like me tries them all till one fits…but in this case…I’m doing a fundraiser and this is a bit timely. Ok, I’m talking to myself.

Edit your post using HTML editor and add the code to let others see or embed it onto their blog:
[sourcecode language="html"]<p align="center"><a href="URI_link" target="_blank"><img src="pic_URI" alt="pic description" width="180px" border="0" />[/sourcecode] -
“p” tag shouldn’t be used. “p” tags are for paragraphs.
The link I gave you originally does what you wanted in the first place. All you had to do was copy the code in the post and replace it with your page and image URLs.
-
I’ve made a temporary post for you:
http://csswiz.wordpress.com/2009/10/26/code/
The only thing you need to do is copy the code and paste it in your blog.
Once you’ve copied the code, please let me know so that I can delete the post.
-
BTW, one of the reasons I am not using the
[sourcecode][/sourcecode]tags, is because your readers might not know how to copy the code from it (as it probably happened with you).
