Urgent: WordPress inaccessible with ease!

Hi everyone!
Have you any problem trying to load wordpress.com and log in this morning till now (Asian time)? I do.I have also tried several wordpress blogs but the loading is like forever. Even when the wordpress front/home page ‘manages’ to be loaded, it’s a ‘vertical’ display of contents, and pics are not loaded!
I signed in and after more than 5 mins, it slowly crawls to load the wordpress homepage and crawls again to dashboard…

In case WordPress went down, please kindly email Scope telling him what have happened. And how can this be resolved. Thanks!
I’d try to ‘crawl’ to ‘write’ a new post. Hopefully, something can be done.

i don’t have any loading problems with wp.com blogs including mine. do you have the same problem with non-wp.com sites?
posting your email address like that may result in new spam visiting your inbox, you know.

Thanks for the concerns about the spams. There are some difficulties to tomorrow.sg (a singaporean site. That’s about it. Otherwise, wordpress homepage and forums take long time. And what appears would be a vertical list of contents.
Both my laptop and computer got this problem.
Anyway, I usually delete spams directly in email account. So it is just a bit of troubles.
Does anyone know if there was some earthquake or what that maybe damages the cables?

I think the bloggers’ page is ok, but the homepage and this forum’s page is still abnormal. Maybe something is undergoing work.

well there was maintenance scheduled but it’s finished already. as for earthquakes or what might cause slowness on your side, none that i know of… hope easy access will be restored soon. :)

Homepage for WordPress now ok. Left is this forum.
Hopefully, this maintenance will make image uploading hassle-free.

I have noticed both forum and blog pages opening blank from time to time today. Absolutely no contents. So I just hit reload and it all works fine from then on. I’m not in Asia, though, and I haven’t noticed any particular slowdown.

Mins after the late post here, things got back to normal. I am suspecting malice… maybe at the ISP’s side because even my laptop was slow to open wordpress sites. It’s very shocking and I thought there was an upgrading going on.
If you do open a brank… I suspect spywares… … OMG…
There have been complains about possible ISP/s meddling in Singapore.
I tried the wordpress version of theonlinecitizen.com and it was also slow to a crawl. But when I logged in after waiting for long long, the writing and posting part was quite smooth in the morning.
Sulz said it was maybe maintenance…
Could be malice. Remember Brazil’s attempt to take WordPress out? WordPress coincidentally hosted a number of politically sensitive sites to Singapore. Mine is not political since Scope doesn’t really know much about politics, but might be affected along the way as well. Hopefully, the team keeps us under check and in shape. ;)
Otherwise, a whole segment might be ripped off and none knows about it. :D

I have had pages go blank from time to time over this weekend. and my stats have blanked out sometimes.
I did get a warning about a scheduled maintenance. yesterday at wordpress.com.
I also am using FF3.o so i’m not sure if its a browers issue. -

Actually, the correct word is being ‘paranoid’.
You know, it was like when I tried to acess WordPress from Beijing that morning.I very relief it is just maintenance. I am not intending to lose WordPress as host. LOL~

Well, even paranoiacs have enemies. But tons of things cause the internet to slow down. WP has pretty impressive server farms, so we actually see fewer slowdowns on their end than people at other hosts.
