    URGENT< URGENT!!!
I have a website through wordpress.com named highcountrywild.com, but when I log with the wp/admin after the URL, it redirects me to wildatheartcolorado.com….another URL that I purchased but did not set up the blog or website. For some reason I cannot get into my established website highcountrywild.com admin in order to make changes to the existing website. What do I do? if at all possible as I am republishing the book that this website is for and need to get into my website and fix it. Here is my email –
(email visible only to moderators and staff) Please Help asap! Please give phone # to call. Will pay. Thanks, Janis

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no phone support. There is only one means of account recovery.

You must be logged in as Admin http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#administrator under the exact same username account that registered the blog to access the blog’s dashboard.

Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden

If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
    follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility

If you have lost your log-in information you can visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

If required please complete the form for account recovery at this link https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery and submit it to the Account Recovery Staff so they can contact you by email ie. not on these public support forums which are available to everyone with internet access.

We tried the steps above and nothing is the right answer as the password recovery for my email address still takes us to one of the URLs (wildatheartcolorado.com) that I purchased. However, this was a long time ago and what I remember is that I may have redirected this URL to the URL that is actually my website (highcountrywild.com). Wildatheartcolorado.com is not set up and the dashboard is not allowing me access to my actual website.
The verification process asks for a paypal transaction if that was used. I have a paypal account, but did not use it for that. All of my URLs are registered through GoDaddy, so I would not have used paypal on wordpress setup. I only used my one email account to set up highcountrywild.com, but when I ask for a new password and reset it, it takes me right back to the other URL (wildatheartcolorado.com).
I need to access the dashboard for highcountrywild.com to edit the pages – it is urgent! Please help me get this corrected. Because it has been a long time, I cannot remember exactly what I originally did, but I have to get into my actual website.

If your URL is managed at GoDaddy, is it possible your websites are hosted there as well?

It is definitely a WordPress.com site. We transferred it to WordPress.com from GoDaddy. My sister worked on it for me and ONLY logged in at HighCountryWild.com/wp-admin. Nothing else.

    Thanks for trying though…

We purchased the URL from GoDaddy but used WordPress to build the website.

Somehow, instead of redirecting wildatheartcolorado.com to highcountrywild.com — when we login with the user name and password that is sent to us when we ask for a password reset — it logs us into wildatheartcolorado.com. AND when we are logged in that way and go to the highcountrywild.com site, we can still see the dashboard, and the account drop down on the right side shows my username, BUT it doesn’t allow us to edit highcountrywild.com. SO, the two ARE connected somehow.

Maybe highcountrywild.com is redirecting to wildatheartcolorado.com? If so, how do we get this problem fixed?

Okay then bit also cotton to this reality. Once a thread is tagged for Staff do not keep posting into it. Staff deal with threads and tickets in chronological order – first tagged, first answered, as would be expected. If you keep posting or others do that then it means the timestamps keeps moving ahead and it takes longer to get help.

    Hi there!

I’ve found the domain highcountrywild.com in our system. It is not associated with your current account though. I’ll send you a private email and we can work to get you access to this site again.

Shawna, I also don’t know why these posts now say my husband’s member name instead of mine – snowwillow, but it is from me regarding the highcountrywild.com that you were going to help me access…thank you

    georgehuggins,

You may find WordPress support email messages in the Social category of your email account, or in your spam folder.

Thread has been flagged for Staff attention.

It looks like you’re currently logged into your husband’s account. If you’d like to access your own account, you’ll need to log out of WordPress.com and log back in with your username.

The email was sent to the address listed here:

    https://wordpress.com/settings/account/

(Make sure you visit when you’re logged in to the correct account. I emailed the user snowwillow.)

Let me know if you still don’t see the email!

Trying to reach Shawna. Not sure how I was logged into my husband’s account. I think I am logged in now as Snowwillow and would really appreciate it if you would resend your email on how to access my highcountrywild website – to my comcast email – when I am always sent to wildatheartcolorado.wordpress.com, which is not set up as a website. That was the name I was origionally going to use for my website highcountrywild.com. The person who set up my website is no longer available to explain how this got so messed up. I am not certain how to log out of my husband’s account, but I have reset my password for my Comcast email account and have logged in with that I think. I should show up as snowwillow now. I also need to learn how to use word press again…definitely need some young people around the house!

Looks like you’re logged in as snowwillow again! :)

The comcast address listed here is the one I emailed originally:

    https://wordpress.com/settings/account/

Can you try searching your inbox for wordpress.com and see if you find it? Sometimes we get caught in your spam filter, so try checking there as well.

As for getting the hang of WordPress again, here’s our guide for getting started:

    Homepage

As an aside, when I visit highcountrywild.com I’m not being redirected as you had originally explained. Are you still redirected when you visit this link:

    Welcome

I cannot find an email from you anywhere. When I log in with my email and password, i am unable to reach highcountrywild to work on my website pages. It takes me to wildatheartcolorado, which is not my website – that is the name I was originally going to give the website. I have got to get this corrected so that my email and password take me to highcountrywild so that I can edit and add pages. I don’t want to have to rebuild my website. If you can help me undo this mess, I will be extremely grateful!
