Hello, my name is Shelby Austin. I just created my blog a couple of days ago and I’m still trying to figure things out. I thought I had the domain thesouthernblondie.com, but when I created my blog on wordpress it shows my URL as thesouthernblondiedotcom.wordpress.com. Even though I changed my web address to thesouthernblondie.com, under account settings, it hasn’t changed the way my URL looks. Any advice on how I can change it to thesouthernblondie.com?

All wordpress.com hosted blogs are on wordpress.com subdomains like this: *http://NAME_OF_BLOG.wordpress.com
If you wish to you can purchase your own custom domain and map to it, or map to an existing domain URL that you already own from the underlying .wordpress.com subdomain URL.

I already own the domain thesouthernblondie.com that I got off of godaddy so how do I map the blog I created on WordPress to thesouthernblondie.com instead of thesouthernblondiedotcom.wordpress.com? Thank you for your help!!
