  How do I change the url?

  Do you need to change your site URL from example.wordpress.com to example1.wordpress.com or You want it as example.com.

  In the first case where you will be changing your url from example.wordpress.com to example1.wordpress.com

  In the second case if you will be changing your url from example.wordpress.com to example.com

  To add custom domain to your site you must be on any of the paid plans.
